Gig #: 3
When: Saturday, 1 November 2014
Where: Espy St Kilda
With: Moments Apart, Spook The Banshee, Tragic Earth, Static Revenue, Notice Of Eviction, Space Riot, Shewolf
Crowd: ~50
Being on the grand stage of the Gershwin Room at the Espy is a Mecca for Melbourne musicians. We were 1 of 8 bands for the night, so a brief half hour set that we pumped out, no ballads tonight! Dean dislocated his knee at rehearsal the previous Sunday so no moving around for him at the gig – but the show must go on! With Dean moving more like Frankenstein than Paul Stanley, Rob and Jerry had to step up with the “rock moves” – including jumping up on the drum riser for the intro to Kill The Passion.
We included the solos for the intro to Going It Alone. Jerry’s guitar had a minor malfunction during this song but the other boys covered it well, the crowd probably couldn’t even tell. The band is always their own harshest critic!
We played 6 songs all from FITS. Good interaction with the crowd.
